I saw a fresh monarch this past Saturday
(2/26/01)at the Home Depot Store in the greenhouse section.
The butterfly was "lounging" on a healthy full milkweed plant that was sitting with 10 or so other milkweed plants in a section for sale..
It remain on the plant for considerable time until someone disturbed it. I live north of Clearwater, Fla.
about 7 miles straight north right on the Gulf.
I saw the Monarch at about 2:00 pm. It flew away to the east.
