Our resident Canada Geese at Floyd Bennett Field have begun to pair off. This is an event that we look forward to each spring.
We have also noted that they line up in pairs out back by our kiddie pool watering hole and take turns drinking water. If another pair approaches they yell at each other!! We only see this behavior in the spring. Reminds me of my classroom days when we would send kids to the bathroom two at a time to prevent chaos.
