Earthworm (FIRST sighted)

Date: 02/28/2001

Number: 1

We have been looking for signs of Spring. We found 2 earthworms under a flat rock by a back step to a house. They were small, about 7cm. We brought them into our science teacher Mrs. Kelly and we showed them to our class. We think these worms are protected by the rock and get extra warmth from it and the house.
There were several worms tunnels under this rock too.
