Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 03/03/2001

Number: 1

Male robins doing "quiet song" in a large (50 birds) feeding flock. This seems to be practice song that the males do while on migration. It is sung at a much reduced volumn and every now and then there will be an element that is sung at full volumn. It is a very pretty and rich vocalization.
