We have no exposed ground at all and few berries. On Jan.
24th we saw 20-30 robins (very hard to count, flying back and forth rapidly
among the trees), just up the road, very handsome, their color standing out
more than in summer, no singing. Robins have been around all winter, I
hear, though it's been a snowier winter than usual. I gather there's plenty
of food--berries and so forth--or they wouldn't be able to stay.
