the big explosion this year (both in my yard & in the huntington area)
has been in berry eaters. every year i get a few desperate cedar
waxwings in the dead of winter picking @ the fruit on my asian cherry
trees, but come spring, the trees have most of their fruit rotting on
their stems. this year, i've been inundated by waxwings, robins, and
even some starlings devouring the cherries. several trees have been
picked clean,
