I heard my first singing last Thursday, the 8th. We have had a lot of robins around all winter (and some bluebirds), so I am guessing that the singing came from a wintering bird and not from a migrant. I haven't seen anything that looks like a flock of migrants yet. There have been plenty of berries available for these over-wintering birds, but there is no bare ground at all. In fact, we got 2 feet of snow last Monday and Tuesday. I normally associate migrant robins with patches of bare ground - maybe that's not correct. We have cardinals, titmice, chickadees, w-b nuthtaches, and purple finches all singing in additon to the robins.
