On March 12, 2001, our first tulips emerged from the ground. This was one day later than last year. Tulips in the old beds were growing faster than this year's planted bulbs. This was because some of the sod had been removed last fall when cleaning
up the tulip beds, and one to two inches of soil was removed.
Students are excited. They have a bulb of their own growing in the classroom this year, also.
