Believe it or not,I have yet to hear a caroling robin.However,a freind of
mine reported that over the weekend he had heard one singing.That was in
Westport,Ct. which is just to our west a few miles.
I live in a neighborhood which has a mixture of hemlocks and hardwoods with
much lawn area,so robins find it attractive.Added to that is the number of
holly bushes which has been an important food source(the holly berries which
remained until a few days ago)and thus attracted flocks here along with cedar
waxwings and northern flickers.Yet,no singers here yet other than the one my
friend reported.
