Four inch snowfall in area on Friday, March 16, 2001 followed by 50 degree F Sunday. Spotted about 6 clinging to cattail reeds in pond in cornfield near Sauk Trail. Heard first bird in Tinley Park, IL on March 10, 2001, but didn't catch sight of songster.
