This evening
at work(Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary) in Liberty, Clay Co, MO., I
was sitting in my car looking out over our restored prairie for woodcocks.
As it got darker the Robins began to sing their evening song. My mom always said they were
singing lullabies to the babies. Then two large flocks(about 100 or so
total)flew over my car, heading north. I would say the numbers of Robins
have been increasing steadily for the past 4 or 5 weeks.
