Here are the "first" American Robin sightings of the spring for me. I live in Bismarck, North Dakota, in central North Dakota.
First heard: 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2001
First seen: 5:02 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2001
First wave: 5:05 p.m. same date (approximately 40-50 birds moved through lawns and trees in my neighborhood)
At 5:30 p.m., I drove across town for dinner and observed another sizeable flock of 30-40 robins covering lawns and singing from trees.
