First "real thaw". Approximately one mile from Lake Ontario. Sighting was two robins and two red winged blackbirds. Finally some "earth" is showing. This has been a long winter. Ground is thawing, but overnight refreezing. Daily highs 40 degrees, lows, mid to upper twenties.
