A late year, once again. Planted Red Emperors on Oct. 10th and first emergence seen yesterday. We have had heavy snow cover all winter, with the "thaws" followed by freezing temperatures so that the ground has remained frozen for a longer period of time. Tulips are up only 1 inch.
