Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/19/2001

Number: 1

Monday afternoon, March 19th, we meandered out to our tulip bed not expecting to find anything, and alas, the children were thrilled! 14 of the 25 tulips we embedded in the fall had emerged. The shortest measured 1.5 cm and the tallest 4.5 cm. The temperature that afternoon was in the mid fifties. Our students are now anxious to watch for the "big blooming" stage.
