Heard what sounded like a robin singing very early this morning, at first light (around 5 am). A bit later, as I sat by my window drinking tea, my daughter pointed out a robin, probably the same one I heard singing, poking along the ground by the cedar hedge, where the ground is finally clear of snow-- clearly looking for worms! We've seen robins passing through, but this is the very first song, and feeding behavior indicating the return of our resident robin. More snow predicted tonight-- our first "spring snowstorm"!
