Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/21/2001

Number: 1

I've birded many areas this week, within
a 3 mile area of DWWS. I've found 2 distinct things happening:

1: "Many" migrant AMRO's are "on breeding territory now-up here in MA", they
are paired,
and feed in small groups of 3 or 4 pairs, in grassy fields eating worms.
2: The overwintering AMRO's are still here also, they can be seen in flocks
of 20 to 50 to 200 birds eating on the ground. The two groups never
intermingle.
