Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/21/2001

Number: 1

Last Wednesday the first wave [7 robins] arrived at my place and
were busy looking for food under the pine tree in the front yard. As yet I
have not heard that characteristic robin song and I think that the poor
souls are still traumatized by the wintery weather.. the temperature is
supposed to rise near the end of this week. The robins eat the plumes which
remain at the top of the sumach trees so I guess that these seed plumes
have food value. The chickadees eat them also.
