We measured the shadow of a meter stick today
and it is decreasing at the rate of 30 cm per month. It was 57 cm today
at noon, and our prediction for next month is 27 cm. Our tulips are
budding now and some buds are just emerging. We have 37 tulips out of the
50 we planted. The tallest is 23 cm. and the smallest is 7 cm. The
average height is 15 cm. as well as the mode. The blooms have mostly
fallen off our pear trees and the moist, shiny, smooth leaves have emerged
all over the tree. The high today is 49 and the low will be 25, which is
very unusual for us at this time of year. We noticed something very
strange: Our temperatures collected each month on the 20th since January
have actually decreased! The photoperiod today will be twelve hours and
22 minutes. We look forward to hearing from you again.
