Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/10/2001

Number: 1

I saw my first Monarch of the spring (?) on March 9
or 10 in northeastern Terrell County, Texas. We are having unusually cold and wet weather here in Midland, so have no sightings to report from the southern Llano Estacado.

(Reported for Terri Pease by Mike Quinn, Texas Parks and Wildlife. Sheffield is the nearest town of any size to Terri's sighting. Terrell Co. sits along the Rio Grande between Big Bend National Park and Del Rio.)
