First monarch seen was yesterday
March 28, 2001 at 8:40 a.m. It was traveling east to west just north of the
BC Ranch RV Park or ca. 3 miles north of Alpine, Brewster County on Hwy.
118. Winds were out of the west ca. 15 mph, temperature 60 degrees, clear
conditions. Alpine is c. 70 miles north of the headquarters at Big Bend National Park.
