Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/28/2001

Number: 1

Our second grade class had put out "milk carton" bird feeders. As we were eagerly awaiting a small bird to come and eat, we suddenly saw about 15 robins in the tree outside our window. A small snowfall on 3/26 was beginning to melt. The robins were flying down to the muddy ground and finding worms left, right and center. The children wondered "How do Robins find worms? Do they see, smell them or feel them in the ground?" We will send in our question. The crocuses are up and daffodils are beginning to bloom. Spring is certainly here!
