I saw the first AMRO on 23 March in Edmonton. Am not sure if this
is a migrant or one of our over wintering bird. I guess the only way of
settling this issue is to determine ratios at this time of the year. Over
wintering (OW) vs spring sightings (SS).If the ratio of OW is larger than SS
consider that sighting is a winter resident... And so the picture develops.
