Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/30/2001

Number: 1

I hung my feeders Friday (3/30) after reading the reports which had Hummingbirds in North Carolina. Sure enough a male appeared that night about 6:30 pm. I think the same one was seen again on Saturday, as well as Sunday, before the big hail storm that left an inch of hailstones on the deck. I hope he had a good place to stay out of the storm.
