Thursday morning I took the mile and a half trail that
parallels the DuPage River in Bolingbrook and it was alive with song. Parking
at the trailhead on Royce Road just one block west of Route 53, I walked over
to Trout Creek Farm Road and back. Robins, redwing blackbirds,
grackles, and goldfinches predominated.
