Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/03/2001

Number: 1

Barn Swallows, with an occasional Cliff Swallow, are funneling across the Ponce Inlet here in the Daytona area. They come in small waves of 5-10 at a time. I am at the Inlet early AM and late afternoons for my bird surveys so I am not certain how many are coming between those times. Over my house have been sparse numbers throughout the day today. They started coming like this
on Tuesday with 1-2 and picking up force today (5-10).
