Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/05/2001

Number: 1

We saw our first monarchs of the season about 6:30 P.M. CDT on Thursday, April 5. It was cloudy with temperatures in the lower 80s. They were very busy flying about a patch of crimson clover feeding, so we were unable to tell if they were male or female. The field was along the south bank of the Red River.
