Saw my first robin at 8:42 a.m. Returned to area at 9:02a.m. with my binoculars and found 15 robins on the ground feeding. These robins flew up into the air and joined over 100 robins flying north. A few minutes later another flock of about 50 robins passed overhead. Several minutes later a group of 18 robins landed on the ground and started feeding. First robin and first wave within minutes. A first for me. Other migrants seen today include many flocks of Canada geese, snow geese and several species of ducks. As well I saw redpolls, juncos and horned larks.
