We saw the largest flock of sandhill cranes we have ever seen resting near Sullivan, WI. There were 75+ cranes. They seemed to be resting and competing for a mate. Storms had passed through the area the night before which may have forced the cranes down. Cranes do nest in this area near Rome Pond.
