I have been waiting patiently for weeks, to spot a robin, but our cold weather and snowstorm last weekend were not encouraging, then eureka!!!! Today I spotted my first robin, feeding at the neighbours (heavily laden from last fall) crabapple tree. He was a handsome fellow, (I'm presuming it was a male) Rosy red breasted, and looking well fed. As our ground is still frozen,and more cold weather predicted for this week, now is the time to put out the treats I've been saving for this very occasion.
