I saw five common loons by Blue Lake, Wa. along HWY 17 and one
common Loon in the adjoining Banks Lake area. They were also in breeding plummage. The ice is off of both of those lakes now, so the Loons are beginning to come inland along their spring migratory routes to their breeding territories.
