As of April 6, 2001, a common Loon landed at Loon Lake, Wa., although there is still ice on over half of the lake. The lakes farther North are still iced-in, but should be thawing soon; and the few breeding pairs (ten to twelve )of common Loons that we have in the State of Washingt6on will hopefully be returning soon.
