Common Loon Migration over Elgin County

This morning between 7:30 and 8:30 we counted 38 Common Loons, all in breeding plumage, migrating from the southeast (Lake Erie) to the northwest (Lake Huron). We live in northcentral Elgin County about 30 km north of Lake Erie.
