After weeks of below average temperatures and an extended period of rainy weather, Asclepias syriaca shoots finally appeared on April 17 and are now about 4" tall with no leaf-out. Asclepias incarnata shoots appeared on April 19 and are only about 2" tall. Asclepias tuberosa shoots are just poking above the soil surface today, April 23. No Monarchs sighted here yet.
