Migration--Watched from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Estimate 30 butterflies /minute passed over a 10ft. wide space between fence and house. They were heading due north. Saw about 18,000 pass between us and a house across the street (100 ft. away) in the hour we watched. They were still flying by at 3:00 PM at a rate about 1/3 that observed at noon.
