We have lived in Rancho Penasquitos,a community of 45,000 just to the east of Del Mar, for 15 years. This is the first time we have ever witnessed a monarch butterfly migration. My husband and I noticed clusters of them around 10:00 yesterday morning and they are still soaring up and over the houses in the neighborhood today, going northbound. Perhaps they're headed for the Wild Animal Park in Escondido. :0) JB
