Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/24/2001

April 24, 2001

Our first two tulips bloomed today. One was in the control group. One was in the 10" depth group. We are wondering why the deeper bulb bloomed at the same time as the 7" one. Why haven't the others in the control group bloomed?
All of our tulips have buds. However, the ones we planted in the deepest shade where we thought it was coldest, have the smallest, shortest. buds. These sprouted as early as our control group, but they look like they might bloom latest. They have a lot of leaves.
Why did last year's tulips all bloom first this year? They were planted next to our courtyard group this year, and they have just small buds.
. It will be interesting to see what blooms last. Photos will be sent in an email as I don't know how to attach them here.
