Our tulips all opened during the late morning, they are beautiful under the red bud tree that is just beginning to bloom too. We had done the microclimate experiment in the classroom and saw what happens in nature first hand; part of the bulbs were planted near my house, south side; these are in an open area on the east side of the building, there was 6 days difference in the bloom time! There was only 4 days difference in emerging time.
