Out of 35 chrysalises located last week, we counted 17 butterflies had emerged. We saw about 7 flying about our butterfly garden. We also have identified another crop of first instar caterpillars. This is so exciting for our students. My kindergartners can identify 8 steps the caterpillars go through, it is exciting to hear them speak from just observations.
