Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/14/2001

Number: 1

Since we are students from different schools in the Levittown Gifted Program, we have 5 small gardens, planted near each other. They were planted approximtely 2 weeks apart, emerged a the smae time and bloomed at the same time. too! Some older tulips from last year's students, emerged and bloomed nearby; this year's tulips are very large, but the stems are shorter than last year's. The Red Emperor Tulips are very beautiful; we love the yellow and purple inside and are amazed that the tulips close up in the shade and overnight. Now they have all died, the petals have all fallen off the stems and the stems are fading to a dry, yellow color.
