Leaf-Out (Any Species)

Date: 05/01/2001

Number: 1

Our dogwood is in the process of leafing out. The leaves are the length of a quarter, and about one third as wide. The white flowers are the size of a quarter, and just beginning to open. Today was in the 80s, and it's very dry! Our neighboring Kousa dogwood is a few days behind, however the crabapple and Bradford Pear leafed out and bloomed early last week. The daffodils under our tree are in their prime, and the tulips are past their prime!
