I am a participant in the North Dakota Audubon Society Birding Hotline. When I heard that someone saw a barn swallow I went out to look and sure enough. There were 3 of them on the wire and a fourth came in for a landing as I watched. I keep yearly frcords of my first barnswallows.

In 1999 I saw them first on May 5th
In 1998 I saw them first on May 2nd
