Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 05/04/2001

Number: 1

The feeders have been going down, so I knew the "buzzbirds" had returned, but I saw a male at the feeder today --- finally!!! He tried the butterfly nectar feeder also, but decided he like his stronger, sweeter nectar better! He had a nice drink of cold water from one of the shallow hanging baths, whinh have been used only by goldfinches until now.

Hooray! Welcome back!!
(I hope that large, domineering female from last year has learned to share --- she tried to keep all the others away from everything, and nearly wore herself out flying around the house in her attempts!!)
