I didn't have my first Monarch in Vincennes but near Joliet, Il approx 200 miles north of Vincennes. We were birding around the Dresden Locks and Dam. A handsome adult Monarch was nectaring on a lilac bush. I can't wait to find one in our neighborhood. Our milkweed is up three feet but no blooms as yet.
