In Toledo this past week I had two reports of monarch sightings. (The approximate dates for the sightings, both in Toledo, were on May 4th
and 10th.) One was in a large yard with milkweed as well as flowering plants but no eggs have been found as of last evening. I believe both of these sightings are reliable as they have been growing monarchs for several years. I have not seen any evidence of monarchs (as of 5/12)in the many areas I check each year a little east of Toledo along L. Erie shoreline, even though the milkweed is great!
