A Monarch and two Brown Elfins were seen along the power line just north of the Mass Pike late this afternoon. The Monarch circled around the area near one of the transmission towers before finally heading over the fence and into the green belt lining the Mass. Pike. I had the feeling that the individual was a female but did not get a
chance to see it except on the wing.
