Yesterday afternoon I found 11 monarch eggs on a patch of common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) along a country road outside of Lincoln, NE. I collected the leaves and nine have already hatched.
The temperature was 94 degrees F with a brisk wind of 15 to 20 mph.I have not yet sighted a monarch.
