I was watching a female purple finch and 3 baby finches feeding in my backyard when I caught an orange flutter near the Mock Orange bush. We don't see Monarchs in the spring very often, just in the fall. Usually I get excited then as it gets closer it is usually a Frittilary. This one was definately a Monarch but only the one was observed.
