Four different classes planted tulips on separate days - approximately 4 days apart for each class. The tulips have emerged in each section of our traffic circle in the order in which they were planted. We have noticed that those planted closer to the curb (6 inches from street) did not grow to the same heights as those planted further inland (24 inches). Our class predicts that it may be caused by the heavy snow cover at the street's edge after plowing, combined with the salt and sand from the plows.
