Only the tulips that were planted far away from the curb actually bloomed! The others, for the most part, failed to bloom fully. We have had a very warm, very dry spring here in New England, with temperatures in the 90's for a few days (very unusual for April and May!), and temperatures close to freezing during the evening. Our class believes that these weather extremes might account for a short "bloom" season.
